Interface between SAP and OSI - PI

Team,

 

Appreciate your response for a query from a customer. Find below

 

 

 

Kindly help us to get some more details from SAP about the connectivity between OSI-PI system and SAP (PP,EHSM and QM).

 

 

Because, we might use only for one way communication (pull) the data from OSI-PI to get plant information to update our SAP –ECC for informative
purpose of production reports and EHS.

 

Queries:

 

Plan A

 

  1. 1.      Whether OSI-PI RLink is enough for the connectivity to SAP?
  2. 2.      Whether any other interface other than SAP-PI or MII to connect OSI PI?

      

Plan B

 

    1.      From this year,  we are using Honeywell DCS (SCADA) system, whether Honeywell PHD system could connect SAP?

  1. 2.      If the above answer yes , then what is the standard interface using for SAP and Honeywell PHD ?

 

   The above queries raised because of clarity required for OSI –PI interface minimal connectivity requirement.

issue with Memory release in opcserver ?

Hi experts,

 

I installed Pco 2.3 sp03 and able to read the tags but while reading the tags using pco query  the memory utilization in opc server is increasing but

 

after stop the pco query execution the memory is not releasing. Even after stop the agent instance in PCO also the memory is not releasing.

 

Does anyone has faced the same issue please share the solution?

 

Configuration:

 

PCO 2.3 sp03

 

windows XP 2008 R2

 

Matrikon  opc server.

SAP NW Admin Home Page - New Install, no links working

I am doing my first practice installation of MII 15.  I was able to complete the installation successfully (finally), but I am only able to access the Admin page using the localhost address, 127.0.0.1:50000/nwa.  This works, I open the admin home page, but none of the tabs or links operate.  I also opened the quicklinks page, and none of those links do anything.  The hand appears indicating the browser recognizes a link, but when clicked nothing happens.

 

First thought was needed Java, but that didn't make a difference.  Wondering if it is something to do with using the localhost address.  Note I am accessing the 127 IP from the server itself, not from a client(I guess that's obvious).  I cannot access from a client due to firewall rules, VLANs, etc.

 

Any ideas on why the links don't even open a new window?

icommand in MII15.0 SSCE

Hi,

 

MII version 15.0 SP5 Patch4. In MII 15.0 version, since there is no i5Command, I though of using icommand applet.

 

I created a query template (Fixed SQL query)

I configured a displaytemplate with icommand.

I placed an icommand applet in webpage through workbench as I can't edit SSCE source code just before </body> tag.I gave applet name as iCmdpartno

 

in the javascript function, when I code as

//querytemplate has 1 input parameter

 

iCmdpartno.getQueryObject().setParam(1,partno);  

iCmdpartno.executeCommand();

 

I am getting the following error.

Uncaught ReferenceError: iCmdpartno is not defined.

 

 

How to place an icommand applet in SSCE?

Is there a way to execute querytemplate with out using iCommand?

UI5 grid scroll down or up

Hi,

 

I am using MII 15.0 SP5.

 

In UI5grid, after I select a row and press down arrow (windows key) or up arrow the selection of the row doesn't change. In IGrid we can scroll down or up .Is it not possible in UI5Grid? is there any setting for this?

Group Concatenate in SAP MII MDO

I want to concatenate all the values of column in a single row with GROUP BY Clause. For Example:

SELECT id, subject, GROUP_CONCAT(username SEPARATOR ', ') usernames FROM some_table GROUP BY id, subject

In MySQL.

How can I g about performing a similar function in SAP MII SELECT MDO Query?

Tabulator character not working as expected in transaction

Hi All,

 

I have used "tab" keyword to give some space between two strings for proper alignment. When I click on evaluate, the result will be as expected but in output, tab is replaced with single space. Because of this the alignment is not proper. Please refer the below screenshot for the issue.

And my expression is like the following "Plant"&tab&": "&Repeater_0.Output{/Row/Plant} .

 

Please let me know, is there any way to give spacing between two strings.

i5Grid issue

Hi,

 

I configured Display Template with i5Grid of Grid Type Lights.

In the Layout  category I assigned 11 columns. I defined 1st column width 50 and the remaining 10 columns width 0 as I want to hide those 10 columns in the display.

when I test the display template, the display comes like as shown in the attached screen.There is some black lines coming around lights.

If I try to expand the black lines, the hided columns are displayed.

Is there any settings that I missed to eliminate the black lines around the lights.

How to round the number to 3 decimal places in SAP MII BLS?

 

For example: I want to round this number 9.8910000123 to 3 decimal places. I am expecting the value to be 9.891.

SSCE rows change

Hi Experts,

 

I want to change the no of rows in the form in a particular table row in SSCE. I can't edit the source code from SSCE. But I can make change from workbench.Even though I can see the change in the browser, it doesn't reflect from SSCE. SSCE still shows the same no of rows.

 

var form_c0c0 = new com.sap.xmii.ssce.Form(({Columns:24,Rows:6}));

 

Is there a way that I can make change directly from SSCE?

Is it possible the change appear in SSCE after I make change in source code from workbench?

Hi,

 

I'm new to MII. I have a stored procedure in MS SQL Server that takes a DateTime parameter as input.

 

What format should I use when I run the SQLQuery in MII Workbench? The MII SQLQuery simply does exec spTest [Param.1] [Param.2]

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are all display templates available as i5?

Hello MII Community,

 

I'm in the very early stages of a 12.2 to 15.x upgrade assessment.  I'm wondering whether or not all legacy java display templates have i5 implementations at this point?  I see that iCommand was recently added with 15.1 but can't seem to find any specific reference since 14.0 for i5 implementations for iBrowser or iTicker.  Any knowledge on the topic would be much appreciated.

 

I realize there are pure HTML/JavaScript options available to replace the applet implementations but I am specifically interested to learn if they have been implemented natively with i5.

Workbench's sequence is not getting displayed properly for BLT in SAP MII 15.0

I am facing issue with displaying a sequence while creating a new transaction in workbench of SAP MII Version 15.0 SP4 Patch 4.

Below are the screen shot for new created transaction on SAP MII 15.0 SP4 Patch 4.

Here rectangular box is not getting created for a sequence.

 

For Example: I tried to create a transaction in SAP MII 14.0 SP 4 Patch 0, its working fine as below.

why it’s not working in SAP MII 15.0 SP4 patch4.


For both SAP MII 15.0 and 14.0  using same JDK and JRE version 1.7.0_71

 

Please help me in this issue.

Interoperability PCo15.1 with MII 15.0

Hi,

 

our actual PCo version is 15.0.1.2196 and we want to patch it to the newest 15.1.* version.

But our MII should stay in the version 15.0 SP5 Patch 03.

 

Are there any doubts to patching our PCo?

Will there any interoperablilty problems?

MII Project Import in 15.1

Hello All,

We are in process of Moving from MII12.1 to MII15.1, we have build new server and need to move MII projects from Old to new,

Question is, Is there any automated way of moving it, I saw migration tool from 11.5 to 12.0, but cant find any thing from 12 onwards .

Our interface design is in way that we have lot of projects defined and importing one by one is going to be painfully long exercise.

SSCE webpage

Hi,

 

I created a layout in MII SSCE and saved.I can see 2 irpt pages created.

 

  • Test.irpt
  • Test_mobile_irpt.

 

If I want to use a webpage for IPad, Do I need use Test.irpt or Test_mobile.irpt?

 

 

All UIcontrols in both the pages defined as TextViewM,TextFieldM, etc.. when I create a layout in SSCE.

 

Eg: var TextView1_c0c0 = new com.sap.xmii.ui.UIElementTextViewM({

 

 

what is the difference between these 2 irpt pages?
